Zoo hotel
The Zoo Hotel is housed in a prestigious Berlin Jugendstil building of the 1920s, with 3,80 metre high ceilings. During the 1950s it was the official hotel of the Berlin movie Festival, the Berlinale, and played host to many great European film stars. Today, the 136 guestrooms, spread over six floors, have bright, contemporary décor, complemented by carpeted floors, coffee tables and full-length mirrors. All are clean and decently maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. In the G-Lounge, with its wall to wall windows, you can soak up the chic atmosphere and enjoy snacks, drinks and cocktails as a prelude to visiting the local theatre and restaurants. The hotel also offers a Continental buffet in its welcoming breakfast room, which is furnished with sleek, high-backed dark wooden chairs and adorned with colourful movie prints.
