Bristol Kempinski Hotel
A Berlin landmark, affectionately known as the “Kempi,” and the first luxury hotel to open there after the Second World War, the Bristol Kempinski Hotel is housed in a somewhat boxy-looking 6-storey building adjoining an 11-storey tower. It remains a celebrated property, though some recent visitors have commented that its décor is looking a little faded in places. The spacious lobby is impressively appointed in green marble, complemented by four large wood-panelled pillars. There are comfortable seating areas in the centre of this area. Containing high-quality reproductions of English and Continental antiques, the 301 guestrooms vary in size due to the age of the building. They are plushly decorated in a very traditional style. The hotel offers a variety of dining options. The recently opened "Reinhard's im Kempinski" serves regional specialities. The Grill serves excellent dishes prepared on lava-stone and has a lovely terrace, which is open during the summer period. The Gobbelin Hall invites you to linger and relax, its fire-place creating a very cosy atmosphere, especially during the colder times of the year. ***The Kempinski Pool & Wellness area will be temporarily closed from 11th - 26th August 2007***
